El gaucho Martin Fierro es un poema narrativo de Jose Hernandez considerado ejemplar del género gauchesco en Argentina y Uruguay. Publicado en 1872, su continuación La vuelta de Martin Fierro, apareció en 1879.
El gaucho Martin Fierro is an epic poem written by Jose Hernandez, considered the pinnacle of the genre of "gauchesque"poetry. It was published in 1872, its second part, La vuelta de Martin Fierro, appeared in 1879.
